This bag is currently on display in the Winter Threads Exhibition at the Weigh Ahead Gallery, Dunblane. It is available to purchase directly from the gallery until 10th January 2026 and is not available to buy online at this time.
Beautifully textured and coloured, this handcrafted little bag brings a cosy, autumnal charm with year-round appeal.
Made from thick burnt orange cotton cord with soft additions of cream, beige and grey, the design creates a distinctive tweedy texture and a warm, earthy palette. The square bag and curved flap strike a lovely balance between structure and softness, finished with a striking irregular feature button to close – a little artisan detail that sets it apart.
It has a beige webbing adjustable strap, so you can wear it across the body or on the shoulder. Inside, there’s a handy little pocket just the right size for cards or keys, and the main compartment is roomy enough for a compact umbrella and daily essentials.
This is a bag that is perfect with autumn knits and boots, but equally lovely with light summer layers or casual evenings out.
