This bag is in my Leather Samples Collection — a range created using leather swatches rescued from old sample books. Each square of leather is crocheted together by hand, forming a patchwork of colour, texture and history that could never be repeated.

This version blends lots of shades of cream with natural raffia. The deeply padded squares give a lovely puffy, tactile feel. The pieces are joined with natural raffia giving a crunchy texture in contrast to the soft leather.

The bag is lined with a lovely stripped off-cut of curtain fabric in cream and light green. Inside there’s a small zipped pocket for keys or cards.

There is a choice of adjustable strap - either tan webbing or soft beige leather. Both are adjustable, allowing for shoulder or crossbody wear, while the boxy rectangular shape keeps things neat and practical. Secured with a flap and internal zip, it’s just the right size for basic essentials — casual, comfortable, and perfect with more summery clothes.
