This bag is in my Leather Samples Collection — a range created using leather swatches rescued from old sample books. Each square of leather is crocheted together by hand, forming a patchwork of colour, texture and history that could never be repeated.

This version blends beautiful rich browns, with softly padded squares that give a lovely puffy, tactile feel. The pieces are joined with mixed thread wool, adding warmth and a relaxed, handmade character.

The bag is lined with a lovely wool plaid fabric in brown and turquoise. Inside there’s a small zipped pocket for keys or cards.

There is a choice of strap - either brown webbing or soft brown leather. Both straps are adjustable, allowing for shoulder or crossbody wear, while the boxy rectangular shape keeps things neat and practical. Secured with a flap and internal zip, it’s just the right size for basic essentials — casual, comfortable, and perfect with jumpers and wintery clothes.
