I'm Stephanie - designer and maker, inspired by texture, colour and travel.
My one woman business is not about growth or scale. I make for the love of creating. I make things that I would use and be proud to carry. I want my customers to feel good using my bags, knowing that they are carrying something that no one else has and something special, made with love.
I focus on upcycling and using recycled materials where possible. 20% of every bag sale is donated to Action for Children.

Every bag is handmade and unique - no two are ever the same
Materials, Colour & Texture
I focus on creating texture and colour mixes through combing various yarns and materials.
Increasingly, I am using recycled materials or upcycling and recently have been using old hessian coffee sacks to make bags.
Design, Details & Practicalities
It's the added details that often set my bags apart - whether its a feature button, leather strap, decorative beads or tassel, or even the odd pom-pom!
While beautiful to look at, I also understand the practical details like pockets and linings and that bags need to be hardwearing.
Studio Sale
This is a special collection of one-off handmade bags produced during the creative journey of Jeccart Original.
You’ll find more winter styles, earlier designs, and a few prototypes that may not be absolutely perfect, but are still beautiful, practical, and ready to be loved.
This clears space (physically and creatively!) while I focus on lighter, spring-ready designs and a more coherent Jeccart Original range.
As with all Jeccart Original bags, 20% of every sale is donated to Action for Children.
Once they’re gone, they’re gone – every bag is a one-off.

I work from my house in the West End of Glasgow or when travelling. Currently my bags are not stocked in any shops, although I am currently pursuing this.
I have created custom bags and am happy to undertake specific commissions.
